And, when you want to explore further afield, charming Sisters is just over eight miles away. If you know the layout of Black Butte Ranch, our location is perfect — we're about a 2 minute drive to the grocery story/entry gate and can get out of the Ranch and to Sisters is 10-15 minutes. We can bike to both of the major pools or the meadow in 10-15 minutes as well.
At home, you’ll love the expansive, light-filled floor plan. Pine-paneled walls and ceilings combine with mountain-modern decor to create a cozy cabin vibe. The chef will appreciate the full kitchen, and everyone will love sitting down for meals together around the adjacent dining table or massive outside deck. After days of exploration, the fun continues at home with ping-pong in the garage, two streaming-capable TVs, WiFi, an Xbox, and a DVD player. Two living spaces ensure that everyone can watch what they want.
House has 5 bedrooms, 2 King beds, one California King, One Queen and one bunk room w/ Loft (5 Twins) for all the kids. One king and the queen each have attached bathrooms. Sleeps 13 comfortably, which is amazing for 3 families to travel together. Beds are mostly new, purchased in 2021. House has a 3-car garage, one with locking storage for owners. Large driveway can park many cars or leave it open to use the basketball hoop. The house requires a few steps to enter, but we've found it's still has worked well for multi-generational family trips!
The style is 70's wooded cabin as the house has not yet been updated. We love the feel of it — it's clean, simple and nice, but it's not posh or fancy. It smells like wood and you'll love curling up by the wood stove with an old fashioned or glass of wine.

Our plan isn't to rent the house once we sell it fractionally, but can be a discussion point among all the property owners. We've gotten an average revenue of $356/night booked (net of fees, taxes, property management, etc) in the 4 years we've rented it (with very high seasonality!).

About the Organizer
My name is Paul Weinert. I'm married to my wonderful wife Lydia Weinert. We have two boys, Aaron (13) and August (10). We bought this house in 2021 and have been renting it as a vacation rental. We'd like to stop doing the rental, but we love the house and are aiming to co-own it with other likeminded families. We discovered Black Butte Ranch about 10 years ago and quickly fell in love with it. We're an active family and the region is so great with an abundance of activities to play and explore. Owning a large home there has been super fun as we can invite friends or family and still have our own space while connecting.
